A great uphill hike. Bring hiking friendly shoes, water, a snack and your camera.
Amazing hike. Go prepared for a steady incline for the full 7km up to the top. Some areas more than others. Bring water, snacks, and your camera. We went on a day that was 35 above and this hike was shaded but provided no breeze in the trees. There were few bugs. Beautiful views despite the smoke would love to hike this again with better gear and more water. We will probably pick a day that is not so hot and start earlier on the day. It took us about 7 hours total including stopping for dogs to pee on every second blade of grass and of course to take photos.
There is a viewpoint on the way up but pretty much you are hiking to get to the cliffs. There is a Viewpoint of the cliffs shortly after you get to the ridge. It doesn't look it but continuing on all the way down the cliffs ads about 150 M of elevation and another kilometer of hiking. Although the hike up is in the trees and maybe a bit boring the payoff is well worth it. One of my favorite hikes of all time.
Amazing hike and scenic to! September is a great month to go, no mosquitoes and cooler temperatures.
Absolutely wonderful hike. Heart pumping! Views are so worth the effort!
